The TV Guide: Chick-Fil-YAY!
As I pulled into the South Bay Galleria mall parking lot I knew I had to hurry because traffic was worse than I anticipated and it was nearly 7:30pm. The first thing I did as I entered was check the map to find out where the restaurant was and ... well, the rest is history. While I was in line waiting to order, the 2 people behind me were talking about how excited they were to be eating there ... and I turned around and said, me too! It turns out that they were Pink readers Karla and David who also *RANDOMLY* happened to also drive down from LA to eat at the nearest Chick-Fil-A. OMG ... it was so cool running into them ... we decided to eat together and just get to know each other ... and, natch, we had to take a pic together:
You know ... eating a Chick-Fil-A was a thrill in and of itself ... but getting to share the experience with other Chick connoisseurs made it all the more fun. Karla and David have to be the coolest kids I've met in ages. I really enjoyed getting to know them ... and who knows, I may end up dining with them again at the South Bay Galleria some day :)
The whole dinner experience was so fun that I felt the need to celebrate ... I met up with mes amis Steph and Alek and we all met Darion and Jordon at Akbar for some fun dancing and drinking:
Unfortch, the dancing wasn't all that fun cuz the DJs for the night were pretty horrible. We met a girl on the dancefloor, Jayme, who wanted us to be dancing buddies with her so we obliged -- I told her that we would be having more fun if the DJ didn't suck and she informed me that the DJ is her boyfriend! OY! Once I removed my foot from my mouth we carried on with the night and did our best to salvage the evening. To be honest, with the great friends that I have it wasn't hard to make the best of it. The night wasn't too late a night so it was all good in the end.
Earlier today the whole mess of us, who I used to refer to as The GangTM and will from here on out refer to as Le GangTM (for obvs reasons), met up for brunch at Toast and then some of us spent a lovely afternoon by the pool ... but that is a tale for tomorrow. I'm meeting portions of Le GangTM for a movie in a little bit so ... yeah, it's been a great weekend. In fact, getting to meet and immediately befriend Steph and Alek here in LA has made the whole week a really fun one. It's hard not to feel blessed with friends like this (and a Chick-Fil-A to frequent now) ... it's like having a second family to share a life with here on the West Coast.
I hope all y'all had a great weekend, too :) Lates.
