Surprise, Surprise
I did encounter a GREAT surprise though. I was snooping around the official Veruca Salt website (which is really Veruca Salt 2.0, made up of just Louise Post and some new band members) and I found some GREAT "new" Demos and live tracks for download! There are 3 old demos from 1993 (the golden years): Throw, A Piece of You and No Sunday Best. There are 3 old live tracks recorded at First Avenue in Minneapolis: Forsythia, Victrola and 25. And finally, there are 2 new Veruca Salt demos that I don't already have: Tragic and Level 7.
Technically it's not "new" VS music but it's new to me and I'm totally geeked.
UPDATE: Woo hoo!!! After I posted the above I paid a visit to the official Nina Gordon messageboard and found a few live MP3s (Volcano Girls, With David Bowie, Number One Camera) and the lost b-sides from Tonight and the Rest of my Life (Black and Blonde [the original version], Alone With You, Like It Happens Everyday and Unsafe At Any Speed). OMG ... how cool!
Uh-oh, I just realized that this is Day #2 of me listening to Veruca Salt stuff ... I might be getting carried away again ... their stuff is just so good! Let's see if I can control myself.
