Who knew that yesterday's post about Mel Gibson's DUI arrest would spark such an insane flurry of feedback. Many readers have spoken out on both sides of the issue. While I feel that my post was not inflammatory to anyone's personal beliefs, there are some readers who feel that my comments were an attack on religion and/or Christians as a whole. While I find this utterly ridiculous, I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinions ... Mel has already apologized for his drunken behavior (which tends to confirm the report by TMZ): "I acted like a person completely out of control when I was arrested," he said in a statement issued by his publicist. "I disgraced myself and my family with my behavior and for that I am truly sorry. I have battled with the disease of alcoholism for all of my adult life and profoundly regret my horrific relapse" ... Gibson also apologized Saturday for what he called "my belligerent behavior" when he was taken into custody. "The arresting officer was just doing his job and I feel fortunate that I was apprehended before I caused injury to any other person," he said. "I acted like a person completely out of control when I was arrested and said things that I do not believe to be true and which are despicable." Soooo ... let's just move on with a new post and get back to the light-hearted fare that is way more fun to discuss ...

Hilary looks great ... but that girl can't go anywhere without having a caffeinated drink in her hands. Anyways ... Hilary tells Much Music that she never told Elle magazine that she is a virgin and was completely shocked when she read that quote in the magazine: MuchNews spoke with Hilary yesterday, and she had this to say about the eyebrow-raising quote: "The thing is that I didn't say that. I wouldn't say that. I don't know how [the writer] got that out of what I said." Duff went on to say that the subject is "definitely not something that I would talk about or that I would want people to focus on. Or that I even think it's appropriate to talk about. Whose business is that?" Hmmm ... well, we know that Britney Spears was fond of talking about her virginity back in the day and then it blew up in her face when her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake revealed that they had been having sex when Brit was talking up her virtue. Yesterday I posted a link to The Smoking Gun which revealed a hilarious letter from Morgan Creek productions to Lindsay Lohan. The letter chastises Linds for failing to report to work (she is currently shooting the movie Georgia Rule) because of her recent claim of "heat exhaustion". Having read the letter I felt it would bad of me to not post it here with a few bits of text highlighted:


I love it! I cannot believe they would call her out like this ... who knows how this letter got leaked to The Smoking Gun but holy crap it's funny. I suppose it remains to be seen if this will snap Lindsay back into shape permanently. She has already recovered from her ailment and has gotten her tush back to work. Last night, Jim and I met up with new friends Brian, Richard and Ryan for an amazing dinner at Koi. The food was absolutely delicious ... and believe me, we ate a lot of it. After dinner, we met up the boys at Fiesta Cantina for a few drinks -- and we ran into Superman Returns director Bryan Singer. He showed up with a few friends but wasn't being mobbed by anyone at all ... I got the impression that he goes there often.

After drinks, it was time for dancing so Jim, Davey, Ryan and I made our way to PopStarz:



We had an absolute blast ... I got to meet Pink readers Stephanie & Becca (who was celebrating her birthday last night), John & David and a few others. I also ran into friends Corey and Duckie who were also there dancing the night away. We had so much fun ... and that is why I'm dealing with such a terrible headache today. Thankfully, I wasn't the Designated Driver ... if it's one thing I've learned from the Mel Gibson fiasco ... WHOOPS! I am not gonna go there again ;)
