Star Jones And Al Reynolds End The Charade
Entertainment Tonight breaks news that STAR JONES (46) has filed for divorce from husband of three-and-a-half years AL REYNOLDS (39). The filing took place on March 26 in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan. Starlet M. Jones versus Al S. Reynolds was marked as an "Uncontested Matrimonial" case by the court and the records were sealed. In a statement released exclusively to Entertainment Tonight, the former "View" co-host says: "Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman" ... Jones married Al Reynolds at Saint Bartholomew's Church in New York City on November 13, 2004. The wedding was an extravagant affair with 500 hundred guests, three matrons of honors, 12 bridesmaids and four flower girls. The lavish nuptials came under scrutiny when Star discussed her wedding's sponsors at length on her ABC show.
To be entirely honest, I am pretty surprised that the marriage lasted this long. From the beginning, when Star was basically whoring out her wedding on national TV day after day after day when she was employed on The View, folks got a nasty feeling that her nuptials might not turn out as genuine as she would have had us believe. It's unclear who got sick of who but you imagine what it may be like being married to Star Jones and you decide. Star hasn't been having much success with pretty much anything in her life since her fateful marriage in 2004 -- she was axed from The View, her own show on TruTV got cancelled and now her marriage is dunzo. I don't think much else can go wrong in the woman's life. Hopefully her bad luck/karma has run out and she can start seeing some success in her life ... but I'm not holding my breath. As for Al, well, it's a shame that they don't make The Surreal Life anymore cuz I don't really know where he can go from here ... hopefully he'll win a great alimony settlement. [Source]
