K-Fed Cordially Invites You ...
Of course, if you have other plans that might sound a little bit more fun than partying with Kevin Federline (like having a root canal, a rectal exam or a castration) then by all means do that instead. [Source]

Gwen Flares, Gavin Shares
"We've got a few [names] we're mulling over, but nothing's decided yet," Rossdale, 38, told Usmagazine.com at the Desert Smash Celebrity Pro Am Tennis Tournament in Palm Springs, California, on Tuesday. "We're both very excited!” he told Us of expecting a second child ... Rossdale also weighed in on the ongoing Britney Spears saga. He said he is glad the singer has reunited with her boys. "Mothers and children should be together," Rossdale told Us.
Well, it should come as *no surprise* that Gwen looks utterly faboo on the cover of this magazine. I would expect no less ... pregs or not, Gwen always looks amazing. It's interesting that Gavin revealed that the couple already have names picked out for baby #2 -- curiously, tho, he didn't mention if they were boy names, girl names or both. It's also interesting that Gavin had to weigh in on the Britney saga because, really, you know everyone has an opinion. [Source, Source]

The Lo Down
"Honestly, I think Stephen is best for Lauren," Bosworth tells Usmagazine.com of Colletti. "It all goes back to friendships. We have all known each other for so long and that really translates to good relationships in the long run." Conrad and Colletti dated during their Laguna Beach days and had a brief fling earlier this year (Conrad told Us they were "just friends"). "He is so funny, has a really big heart and cares about his friends,” Bosworth tells Us. “He is there for you whenever you need him." As for Conrad's on-and-off fling Brody Jenner, Bosworth insists the two are on good terms (he even went to her fashion show Tuesday). "Brody has a new girlfriend, Cora, and Lauren has completely moved on," Bosworth says. Conrad is also chummy with former foe, Kristin Cavallari (they both dated Colletti). "Lauren and Kristin made up a few weeks ago," Bosworth says. "They were out at a bar and sat down and worked out their differences. Everything's fine." Adds Bosworth, "We have all grown up so much since the Laguna Beach days."
In the absence of a show that revolves solely around Lo (which I have been championing for YEARS now), I think I can be happy with seeing her in a more active role on The Hills. It should come as no surprise that I am *giddy* that LC and Lo have moved in together ... I know, it's a bit sad on my part but hey, I gotta tell it like it is. I am very excited for the premiere of the new season of the show ... I know it's gonna be a blast :) [Source]

The TV Guide: Mix & Mingle
This afternoon I'm reconnecting with my homies Steph and Alek for a bit before we meet up with Darion and Jordan for a Lost watch party. The plan is to hit up some swanky shindig afterwards or something like that. I know that I don't want to make it a late night but, then again, I've never been all that good with peer pressure. I guess we'll see how it goes.
On the blog front, I have a few very cool things lined up that I am very excited for. I'm working on a few interview prospects and there are some cool event thingies coming up that I can't wait to share. Things are going well, which is a bit of a relief since I've been stressin' the format change. I still have the site revamp to get thru but I'm pretty sure everything will go smoothly. I guess we'll see.
It's almost the weekend again ... how awesome is that?

Even tho I much prefer seeing Sean Faris with hair (this bald head thing does nothing for me) I am still very much looking forward to seeing this movie. Not even the disappointment from missing out on the Hollywood premiere can sway my interest. I don't think I'll have a hard time finding anyone to go with me either. Over the weekend when Kirsten, Darion and I were hanging out at Steph and Alek's place, a commercial for Never Back Down came on the TV and we all immediately stopped whatever it was that we were doing, our heads snapped towards the TV and we were all held in rapt attention for the duration of the commercial (I believe I saw drool cascading from someone's mouth but I shall keep that person nameless out of respect for my homie). I have no doubt that the storyline will prolly be severely lacking in intellectual content and I doubt anyone remotely involved with this film will be hearing from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences anytime soon but I shall venture out to see this film regardless. While the trailer for La Misma Luna touched me in a significant way, I suppose I have to admit that the trailer for Never Back Down has done so as well ... but in a very different way. [Source]

I'm not sure what movie I saw that showed the tralier for La Luna Misma ahead of it but I very distinctly remember being really taken with what I saw in the trailer. There aren't many movie trailers that capture my attention in quite the same way that this one did. Here is a short synopsis of the film from IMDB.com:
The debut feature from director Patricia Riggen, this drama centers on a young boy's journey across the US/Mexico border to be reunited with his mother. Adrian Alonso stars as Carlitos, a Mexican adolescent living with his grandmother while his mother works as a maid in the US, hoping someday to send for her child. But when the grandmother dies unexpectedly, Carlitos must sneak across the border and seek out his mother.
From what I gather from the trailer, the movie focuses on Carlitos' journey across the border to reunite with his mother ... and all the hazards that go along with illegally entering this country. It seems to me that the movie really focuses on the emotional impact of a son braving danger to find his mother rather than making an outright statement about illegal immigration (altho, I would imagine that a statement is implied by the very nature of the plotline). All I know is that this movie has piqued my interest significantly and I am deffo planning on seeing it after it opens in limited release on March 19 (opening wide on March 21). Check out the trailer and see for yourself ... this one looks pretty good. [Source]

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
While Radiohead stays quiet about how much they made from the record-company-less sales of In Rainbows last October, Vulture buddy Trent Reznor is a bit more forthcoming with the data on Ghosts I-V, his new instrumental album, which he self-released on Nine Inch Nails' Website on March 2. In a press release from his publicist, Reznor says: Nine Inch Nails' 36-track instrumental opus Ghosts I-IV, released March 2 via NIN.com, has amassed a first week total of 781,917 transactions (including free and paid downloads as well as orders for physical product), resulting in a take of $1,619,420 USD. Wow! We're not sure if that $1.6 million includes the cost of hosting and delivering the MP3s, or the manufacturing and shipping of physical copies of the album (we bet all are relatively cheap anyway), but even if it doesn't, this is obviously an impressive haul. Given that an artist like Trent would probably never make that kind of money on an album released through a label these days (especially not a double album of synthesizer instrumentals), this sort of makes record companies look a little silly (if, in fact, any still exist). Just imagine how much he'd have made if he actually sang on a few songs!
If you consider that a portion of the Ghosts I-IV collection is being given away for free along side the pay options and money is still being made, well, this is a very remarkable feat. Additionally, on March 2, Trent Reznor posted information on how the Ghosts collection came to be and says that more volumes of Ghosts are "likely to appear" in the future:
This music arrived unexpectedly as the result of an experiment. The rules were as follows: 10 weeks, no clear agenda, no overthinking, everything driven by impulse. Whatever happens during that time gets released as... something.
The team: Atticus Ross, Alan Moulder and myself with some help from Alessandro Cortini, Adrian Belew and Brian Viglione. Rob Sheridan collaborated with Artist in Residence (A+R) to create the accompanying visual and physical aesthetic.
We began improvising and let the music decide the direction. Eyes were closed, hands played instruments and it began. Within a matter of days it became clear we were on to something, and a lot of material began appearing. What we thought could be a five song EP became much more. I invited some friends over to join in and we all enjoyed the process of collaborating on this.
The end result is a wildly varied body of music that we're able to present to the world in ways the confines of a major record label would never have allowed - from a 100% DRM-free, high-quality download, to the most luxurious physical package we've ever created.
More volumes of Ghosts are likely to appear in the future.
- Trent Reznor, March 2, 2008
Thank the Gods for music pioneers like Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails and Prince (who, as Pink reader Lisa reminds me, has LONG been making music available to fans online, years before anyone else has done so) for taking on the practices of the status quo and for taking the power away from the record companies (that have long been taking full advantage of artists and consumers alike) and putting it back in the hands of the artists themselves. Sure, all of this is still very new and it isn't possible for all musicians to operate in this DIY manner ... yet ... but the blueprint for how to successfully manage one's own music career have been laid. It won't be long until this practice of artist-to-audience interaction will be commonplace. The future is now and it is being revolutionized ... or should I say, Reznor-lutionized. [Source]

Work It Out
No first-day jitters for Britney Spears. Arriving promptly at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday on the L.A. lot of the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother with her assistant Brett in tow, Spears quickly got to work impressing her costars. "It pains me to report that on the first day of the shoot, Britney knew her lines better than I knew mine," actor Josh Radnor tells PEOPLE exclusively. "She's been great to work with." In the episode, which will air March 24, Spears plays a receptionist at a dermatologist's office, who falls for one of the show's main characters, Ted, played by Radnor. She is expected back on set tomorrow for a second day of shooting.
Britney herself is having "blast", she says: "Working at How I Met Your Mother has been so terrific. Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, has been wonderful and Abby is such a fun girl to play. I'm having a blast!"
Woot! All indications are that Britney is kicking ass on this ep of HIMYM and that everyone involved with the project is loving her to bits. I'm fairly confident that this sitcom appearance is going to do wonders for her public image. I, for one, can't wait. Holla! [Source, Source]

Nikki - 6, Orbi - 0
I know some of you have been extra curious about what is going on in my personal love life, and I knew when I signed up to do LA Ink, that this was one of the things that naturally comes with the job.
Honestly, I'm flattered that a lot of you are always very conscious and concerned of all that is going on in my life, based on what you see on the show, but the REALITY of the matter is, what you guys get to see on each episode is often times filmed months in advance, giving them time to edit and put on air. It's not on purpose, it's just that in the "TV world", these things can take time.
I try my hardest to fill everyone in on what's goin on, especially here on MySpace, since I feel a pretty strong connection to those of you who have become my friends here over the past few years, and have faithfully supported me... through some pretty tough times i might add!
At the same time, it's hard to balance my constant tattooing schedule, my family life, running the shop, filming the show and all the hard work that comes with that, let alone my personal life.... BUT! i am in no way complaining, and am 100% confident I can and AM handling it the best way I know how.
With that said, I apologize for the mass confusion that the end of my relationship with Orbi has caused. We broke up a while ago, and definitely before Nikki and I started dating. I know it's hard to understand these things when the episodes that have been airing recently, have scenes with Orbi and I, before we mutually decided best for us to part as a couple.
The rumors that come with the decision to have my life documented on television are totally expected, and all I can do is treat them as just that.. rumors. I know that my true friends and fans all know what I'm about, and for those who choose to feed into the gossip, well... thats just their choice, but thats not gonna put a dent in my happiness, thats for sure!
BOTTOM LINE... Break ups are rarely an easy thing to go through. From what I've personally gone through, people always end up getting hurt. Whether their egos are hurt, or their heart -- it's never a pleasant feeling, and all you can do is send them off into the world with LOVE, and hope that they'll eventually come to the conclusion that things happen for a reason, and will most likely open a totally positive new chapter in life.
So, as "non-juicy" as this blog may be, that's it. Nikki's been my friend before I met Orbi, remained that way during our relationship, and didn’t unexpectedly turn into something more, until after Orbi and I had already split.
Everyone's entitled to their opinions, this I know -- but without sounding like an asshole, some people need to chill the fuck out and learn to be happy for others! No point in exhausting yourself with all that bad energy..
ON THAT NOTE! I am truly happy with Nikki, and the feeling's mutual.. Nothing feels more amazing then making a connection so deep with someone who understands you, inspires you, supports you, and truly loves you AND what you do.
Again, I wanna thank everyone who wished me a great birthday... I must admit, this was the best birthday I've had yet!!
Yours Truly,
Nikki Sixx is also blogging about their relationship on his My Space blog, here's an excerpt from his latest post:
AND YES, KAT AND MYSELF ARE TOGETHER.YES WE'VE BEEN "JUST" FRIENDS SINCE LAST SUMMER .SHE WAS GOING THRU A BRUTAL DIVORCE (AS WAS I)) AND WE WERE FRIENDS, ALONG THE WAY,SHE MET A GREAT GUY (ORBI) AND WE WERE FRIENDS THRU THAT TOO, THEY BROKE UP AND WE WERE STILL "JUST "FRIENDS... IVE NEVER HAD A FRIEND BECOME THE GIRL.YES IT CAUGHT US BOTH BY SURPRISE, AS IM SURE SOME OF YOU.ITS UNDERSTANDABLE, ON HER TV SHOW, SHE IS STILL IN A RELATIONSHIP ((WELCOME TO TV...ITS NOT LIVE)), POINT BEING, WE UNDERSTAND THAT SOME OF YOU DON'T, ITS COOL…WITH THAT BEING SAID, WE ARE VERY VERY HAPPY TOGETHER ... I HOPE IT SHOWS IN OUR ART AND MUSIC. ...NOTHING IS BETTER FOR ARTISTS THAN COMPLETE CONNECTION... ...OH ONE LAST THING, WHEN I FELT MYSELF FALLING FOR HER, SHE WAS ALL WALLS AND BARIGADES,AN INVISIBLE BODYGUARD ON CALL EVERYTIME I EVEN TRIED TO ALLUDE TO OR USE THE EVIL SMIRK TO GET CLOSER TO HER HEART.....SO IF YOU THINK BAD OF ANYONE, LET IT BE ME ...
As I mentioned before, Orbi seems to have a different take on his break-up with Kat from the tone of THIS blogpost on his My Space profile but, in the end, Kat is right -- break-ups suck. In the end, I'm sure things will work out for the best for everyone because life has to go on. To be honest, I think Kat Von D and Nikki Sixx look like a better match but that assessment is based on absolutely nothing other than looks ... which, in Hollywood, is the way things operate. I am a fan of LA Ink and I hope the show comes back for another season ... I love seeing all the tattoo work that is done on the show but, you know, the extraneous drama ain't so bad either ;) [Source, thanks Amanda and Mandy]

Just In Time For Sping Break
"Girls Gone Wild" video empire founder Joe Francis pleaded no contest to child abuse and prostitution charges Wednesday under an agreement allowing him to go free after nearly a year in jail. Francis, 34, returned to Florida after posting a $1.5 million bond this week in Nevada, where he is awaiting trial for tax fraud. The hearing in Bay County state court resolved his 2003 criminal case involving the filming of underaged girls during spring break on Panama City Beach. "I have never committed any crime. I pleaded guilty just to get out of jail," a defiant Francis said after the Bay County state court hearing. "A few corrupt individuals were able to keep an innocent man in jail for 11 months." Francis makes an estimated $29 million a year on videos of young women in sexually provocative situations. He pleaded no contest to one count of felony child abuse and two counts of misdemeanor prostitution. He also pleaded no contest to two additional child abuse counts on behalf of his company, Mantra Films. The charges were all that remained out of an original 73-count indictment brought after Bay County law officers raided Francis' hotel rooms and corporate jet in 2003. He also pleaded guilty in a 2007 case for having contraband — sleeping pills and cash — in the Bay County Jail. Judge Deede Costello sentenced Francis to 339 days on Wednesday, the time he has already served in Florida and Nevada. Costello also ordered Francis to pay more than $60,000 in fines, court costs and restitution to the county. Francis also agreed that his company would not conduct any filming between Escambia and Jackson Counties in Florida for the next three years ... Francis said plea agreement negotiations are under way in the Nevada case and he hopes to resolve them soon. "I'm going to go back to making videos, this afternoon," he said.

Skins
Blech. I, personally, don't get it. She neither looks chic nor stylish. For years now, MK has looked more on the homeless side of fashion rather than on the luxurious side. I really hate the fur. I mean, I always hate it when folks wear fur but it tends to look even worse on MK Olsen ... I think it's the unflattering hair. This is a look that I'm so not down with ... I'm sure the poor little creatures that had to give up their skin to make MK's wrap would agree. [Source]

My Space: A Place For Friends
Before these photos were posted to Lance's profile I had heard that the break-up of La-Ben was an amicable one ... these pics are just great confirmation that this is so. Let me tell you, it ain't easy staying friends with an ex ... so props to these two for making it work ... and who knows, maybe the spark of romance will be reignited in all this "friendly fun" and love can blossom again. Sigh ... yeah, I'm a sappy romantic. [Source]

The Return Of Parker Posey
See, all of this sounds really cute ... but David and I were able to preview the first two eps of the show and, I have to be honest here, neither one of us particularly liked the show. BUT BUT BUT, since I am such a huge fan of Parker Posey, I want to be clear here ... I think all ya'll should watch the show and judge for yourself its merit. Generally, I love Parker Posey in everything she does ... so maybe the show will need to grow on me. It is a bit weird to see Parker starring in a sitcom since she does so well in movies ... I don't know that her place is on the small screen. The Return of Jezebel James will debut on FOX this Friday night at 9pm and I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed -- I really would love to be able to see Parker Posey on TV on a weekly basis. Rock The House
Kid Rock caused another scene at a Waffle House — this time, for charity. The entertainer came to sign autographs for hundreds of fans during a fundraiser at the suburban Atlanta eatery. The event came just a week after Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, pleaded not guilty to a charge of battery from a fight last fall at another Waffle House. Waffle House spokeswoman Kelly Thrasher said the Atlanta-based company wanted to "take a negative situation and turn it into a positive situation." Proceeds were to go to Nicholas House, a homeless shelter for families in DeKalb County, where the 37-year-old entertainer was arrested last October following a fight with a customer. Ritchie was scheduled to serve food to Waffle House customers Tuesday but changed plans when he realized he would only have time to sign autographs before his concert scheduled for later in the evening at nearby Gwinnett Arena. Ritchie said he wanted to make up for the fight. "The whole situation before was kind of silly," he said as he signed autographs for fans. "We just thought after that unfortunate incident we'd try to do something silly but something more positive." With posters, CDs, guitars and hats in hand, the line of Kid Rock fans snaked around the building for hours waiting for an autograph and photo with the hick-hop star ... Police say Ritchie's tour bus had stopped at another area Waffle House on Oct. 21 after a performance in downtown Atlanta; an exchange of words with a customer escalated into a fight that spilled from the restaurant out into the parking lot. Officers took Ritchie and five members of his entourage into custody about a mile down the road after the group left the Waffle House.
You know, deep down, Kid Rock is a good ol' boy. He comes from Detroit, MI area so I know he ain't a bad dude. Despite the fact that Kid Rock plead not guilty to the charges brought against him for the alleged fight at another Atlanta area Waffle House, it's pretty cool that he would come back to town to try and, as he said, turn something "silly" into something positive. He really understands, appreciates and plays to his fan base -- you gotta respect the man for that. [Source]
