Sticky Hilton
The heiress looked rail thin on Tuesday during her Nicholai show at L.A. Fashion Week. "Nicky definitely looked thinner than last year — even last season's — show," an onlooker tells PageSix.com. "She wore a paper-thin printed dress that hung loose off of her frail frame." Nicky herself is inclined to disagree, however. When asked what she thinks about reports that she's too skinny, she blithely responded, "I don't care. There's no truth to any starvation, eating disorders, rumors," she told People yesterday in L.A. "I think the press has been printing a lot of pictures of me from unflattering angles. My friends see the pictures and they're like, 'Oh my god, are you OK?' And then they see me, and they're like, 'Oh... ' It's really not that interesting or true."
I sincerely hope that she is telling the truth when she says there is "no truth" to reports that she may be starving herself ... but these pictures are disturbing nonetheless. I cannot imagine that someone would want to go for a look like this. Her superthin legs make it look like she's wearing shoes that are three sized too big. In the second picture you can see how pronounced her cheekbones look, which is something you never saw before. I don't think you can blame all of this on "bad angled" photography. Whatever is going on, I hope things get back to normal for Nicky ... if her friends can see something in the pictures like the rest of us, then maybe she does have a problem she's not willing to address. The TV Guide: Karate Kidding Around ... Kinda
But before the boozin' began Steph, Darion and I went out to the AMC at Century City to watch the new movie Never Back Down:
So, you may not believe this but it turns out that this movie is actually pretty damn good. Because it's a fight movie, you're pretty much clued in as to what you're going to get ... so nothing really comes as any sort of surprise. The acting isn't anything special (altho, Djimon Honsou's performance is particularly good ... his crying scene was very moving ... tho, Sean Faris also had a crying scene but his wasn't as good). And, hello, you gotta love a film that uses the title of the movie in the dialog of the film. Yes the hotties are hot ... Sean is a cutie as is the blonde guy who kicks his ass for a large portion of the movie ... tho, blondies whole look is all forehead and lips. If you stare at him too long he starts to look like a little monkey ... a cute monkey but a monkey nonetheless. This movie is totally the Karate Kid of the You Tube generation ... complete with cheesy 80's training montages (of men crawling all over one another ... so, maybe not as cheesy as you'd expect). I'm actually a bit surprised that the film is rated PG-13 since there is a lot of violence. It felt more R to me but I guess this country thinks that violence is okay for 13 year olds. While I liked the movie over all, there were things that I didn't like ... the little brother subplot was weird and felt out of place and it was difficult to believe that these characters are all in high school but absent those complaints, it was really entertaining ... plus, many of the training and fight scenes were really, to use a line from the movie, "hotter than Satan's balls." The final fight scene was pretty awesome ... if a bit brutal. I kept waiting for someone to scream out, "Sweep the leg!" a la Karate Kid but it never happened ... well, not in the exact same way.
I would deffo tell all my friends to check out this movie ... it's really fun and worth the night out at the movies. We had a blast ... it's one of those movies I'd deff see again.
After the movie, we planned on hanging out at Pink Taco but we were brutally rebuffed -- the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful (which I love) had booked the place for a private party! Boo. I mean, it would've been cool if we could've snuck in but ... no dice. Instead we convened at Marix for the aforementioned tequila. I think we did a good job of making Darion feel better. We ended the night at O Bar only to discover it was lesbian night ... and that was our night.
Tonight, a bunch of us are getting together to celebrate St. Patrick's Day since some of us can't drink our faces off on Monday night. It shall be blast ... I can't wait.

Life Of Ryan
MMM ... it must be nice not having to do anything and still managing to look hawt :) And so, the hawtness continues ... Ryan is also featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Angeleno magazine:
Again, there are too many clothes in the pics for my liking but I don't really mind all that much. I'm very much looking forward to seeing Stop-Loss as soon as I can ... which is an army film ... and army films tend to have shirtless scenes ... especially if there are desert scenes ... and suddenly, it's really hot in here. Woot! Bring it on already :)

A New Dude For LC?
HMMM ... is this a new friend or a new lurve interest? I had heard that LC made a new friend at a recent model casting for her show, could this fetching gentleman be a new model/boyfriend? He's a cutie, I really do hope that LC is smart enough to hit this hottie ... I'd love to see more of him on The Hills. [Source]
UPDATE: A few Pink readers have given me the head's up that this "new" dude is actually an "old" dude from the Laguna Beach: The Real OC days. I failed to recognize that LC is hanging out with Gary, the gay BFF who was really friendly with all the Laguna girls back in the LB days. In my defense, I contend that it is difficult to recognize him because A.) I think he only ever wore sunglasses when he appeared on LB and B.) he has grown up ... a lot :) So, alas, this is no love connection for LC ... the search for manlove continues.

It's All Love
Now, of course I have *no* idea if the ladies have a competitive streak between them but it's not really that impossible to imagine. I'm sure everything was all love back when the show started but now that it's a hit, it makes sense that they would each jockey for position at the top of the heap. I mean, I suppose it's in the realm of possibility that the ladies really are besties ... but isn't it a wee bit more fun to imagine that they might enjoy a, shall we say, healthy rivalry? [Source]

The Spears Report
I can only hope that this positive streak that she is on will continue to move forward and that her life can finally and steadfastly stay on track. Things are looking up for her, I believe that she can keep the ball rolling and keep her life in order. I'm sure it won't be long now before she gets to win back at least some physical custody of her young children. And speaking of, here are a couple really cute pics of her youngest son, Jayden James, who spent part of his week at My Gym with one of his big buddies:
The kid is cute ... you just want to hug him/pinch his cheeks/squeeze him all at once. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be for Britters to be kept from her kids but I'm sure she's learning that she needs to take care of her life first before she can be entrusted with taking care of anyone else. Mark my words, Britney will stay on course and will (hopefully one day soon) win back at least a portion of physical custody of her kids.
In related Spears news, Jamie-Lynn Spears (who is going to be a mama herself later on this year) was surprised at the pump by a few paparazzi with a bouquet of roses as she filled her car with gas in Kentwood, LA this week:
Yeah, there's nothing really spectacular about these pics other than that they involve little preggo JL Spears. I'm actually surprised she would happily accept a gift like this from the paps ... she oftentimes looks annoyed when they are swarming around her taking photos ... I guess it's true that you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. It remains to be seen if this peace offering will do much to ingratiate JL to the paps from here on out but I think it's genius that they gave it a shot. [Source]

Monster's Brawl
It has been many years since I read any of the Hulk comics and honestly, my main source of knowledge of the Hulk mythos comes from the 1970's TV show The Incredible Hulk which starred Bill Bixby as Dr. David Bruce Banner and Lou Ferrigno as The Hulk (and which never dealt with the relationship between Bruce and Betty and never, to my knowledge, featured Abomination). That being the case, I am very thrilled that the producers of this new movie have decided to delve back into the mythology of the comic books to bring The Hulk back to the big screen. I don't have the time nor the inclination to go into another tirade on how badly the first Hulk movie sucked ... I merely wanted to gush that this new film looks like it's gonna turn out really kickass. Click HERE to check out the trailer (again, if need be) to see what I'm talking about. [Source]

The Collective Comes To Town
In the earliest days of parenthood, most fathers have trouble finding time to shower and shave. Not Joel Madden. Yesterday, the Good Charlotte frontman and tabloid fixture (he's Nicole Richie's baby's daddy) unveiled a flagship home for the street-wear line he designs with brothers Benji, Josh and longtime pal Tal Cooperman. Partnering in this retail foray is Aaron Levant, who began the now-international Agenda street-wear trade show before he could legally buy a beer. The shop, which has its own skateboard bowl, will carry DCMA Collective's full line of sinister hoodies emblazoned with skull and crossbones, tees, shoes and accessories for men and women. Many pieces feature the work of Cooperman's Seventh Letter graffiti crew. Exclusive T-shirt and jewelry designs are also available. "We wanted to create something that represents us," Madden says. He counts friend and pro skateboarder Chad Muska among the DJs, musicians and artists who inspire him. "It's just a big group of people that share similar interests," Madden says. Even his daughter Harlow is part of the club; she's been wearing the line's heart-and-brass-knuckle print onesie ($26). Next up: more kids-wear in colors other than black. Madden realizes the gloomy hue doesn't do justice to his bundle of joy. "Babies look so much cuter in colors."
I just love that the Madden family biz has taken off in this way to warrant their own flagship store (which is more impressive, I think, than just a mere "store"):
I know that the eldest Madden brother, Josh, and fellow designer Tal Cooperman work very hard to make sure that the DCMA Collective line represents what the guys are all about. I have yet to check out the store for myself but I understand it's like a skate shop with a little bit of glam and a whole lotta heart. I wish the boys all the success in the world in this new endeavor. If you're in the area, you should deffo stop by the shop and check it out for yourself (tell them I say HI!) ... the DCMA Collective Flagship Store is located at 645 N. Martel Ave., Los Angeles and is open Monday - Sunday from 11:30AM to 7PM. [Source]
