Gay For Pay; Gossip Girl Unleashes The Gays
Yesterday, US Weekly reported that Kelly Rutherford, who plays Lily van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl confirmed that her fictional son Eric van der Woodsen (played by Connor Paolo) is going to be revealed as the show's first gay character ... today, E! breaks the news on who the other gay character on the show will be. According to Watch with Kristin, Eric's homosexuality will be discovered when he is caught making out with another dude:

Sources confirm that the character with the queer eye is none other than little Eric van der Woodsen, little bro to the big S. Now that might not be all that shocking, given that he's one of the only characters on the show who hasn't yet had a steamy hookup, but brace yourselves, GG fans, for it is coming! Turns out, it's the way in which Eric is outed that is the true jaw-dropper. Insiders tell me he'll be caught making out with Jenny Humphrey's new boyfriend [Asher Hornsby]!
Dun, Dun, Duuuun! I love it! A show like Gossip Girl is is dire need of some gayness and this new hook-up is just what the doctor ordered. I'm skeptical that the lurvin' will be as steamy as the hetero love scenes have been thus far on the show but I'm impressed that GG is finally taking us into this territory. [Source]

Now, we haven't really seen anything substantial of Georgina's character on the show just yet but we did get a tiny taste of the girl in the short preview scenes for next week's episode. It looks like G is gonna hit the town like an atom bomb ... AND I CAN'T WAIT. I must say, while I'm not quite as enraptured by Gossip Girl as New York magazine seems to be, I was very impressed with this week's new episode and I am very much looking forward to all the drama to come.
